Our story

A small practice for people who train

Dr. Tomoyuki Ogawa started Sinew for the people he trains and runs with: trail runners, climbers, lifters and desk-bound regulars around Eugene.

He and Dr. Jeannie Tobin keep the practice small on purpose. Each visit starts with a talk, and each plan comes with its steps and its cost in writing before care begins.

Care is hands-on, and it is yours to shape. Adjustments, soft tissue work and exercise are options, and you can say no to any part. Results vary, and we do not promise an outcome.

  • Hands-on care

Adjustments, soft tissue work and exercise, chosen with you.

  • Plain explanations

We say what we find, what we would do and what it costs.

  • Your plan, your call

Every part of a visit is a choice.

Our team

Who you will see

How we work

Three habits in every visit

Clear explanations, gradual loading and your say in the plan guide every decision.

  • Explain first

We say what we find, what we would do, the risks and the cost before care begins.

  • Load gradually

Recovery is not passive. Exercise and movement are added step by step, as your chiropractor advises.

  • You decide

You can say no to any part of a visit, and ask for another option.

What a visit looks like

What you can expect

  • Hands-on exams

A talk, then an exam of the area and of how you move.

  • Progress reviews

We review how you are doing often and adjust the plan as you go.

  • Plain explanations

No jargon, and time for your questions.

  • Early and late hours

Morning, evening and Saturday visits to fit around training.

  • Two chiropractors

The same two people see you each visit.

  • Trail and gym talk

We know a long run from a lifting day, and plan around both.
