How fees work
Insurance we work with
We bill many health plans that cover chiropractic care. Plans differ, and a plan may not pay for every service we offer. Medicare is covered in plain words below.

Medicare, for one service only
If you pay yourself
If you pay yourself, you pay at the visit. Your chiropractor tells you the cost of the visit, and of any plan of care, in writing before care begins.
Receipts for reimbursement
Ask for an itemized receipt (a superbill) at any visit. You can send it to your plan. The plan decides whether to reimburse part of it.
An estimate in advance
If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us. We give you a written estimate before the visit.
Your rights under the No Surprises ActChecking your benefits
Call the number on your insurance card before your first visit. Ask what your plan pays for chiropractic care, what you owe and whether you need a referral. We are glad to help you with the questions.
What the first visit includes
About an hour: a talk, a hands-on exam and a plan with its cost, in writing. X-rays only when medically necessary, and we tell you why first.

Medicare
Medicare Part B covers manual spinal manipulation only. It does not cover exams, X-rays, massage or exercise. You pay 20% of the Medicare-approved amount after the Part B deductible. For care Medicare does not cover, we give you a written notice before the visit and you choose whether to go ahead.
If a plan may not pay
We tell you before care if your plan is unlikely to pay for part of it, and you decide whether to go ahead.
If you cannot make a visit
Call or text as early as you can. We give you our policy in writing before your first visit.
Ask for your estimate
The front desk gives it in writing before the visit.
